Slats
Slats are made out of top quality extruded aluminum that is electrostatically
painted to a precision finish.
The size of the slat 2.4” x 0.5” is made to
fit any standard window opening. Each 39” in height
contain 16 slats. The weight per 10.24 sqft. Is 16.5 lb.
The double wall construction of the slat is supported from
the inside by the ring fortifier adding to slat resistance
and strength. This design also provides good insulation from
the outside harsh weather. Aluminum links join the slats
and provides for their simultaneous movement.
Quality and Maintenance
All of the Roll-tec shutter parts are ISO 9000 certified. The
supporting mechanism of the adjustable slats are made out of
stainless steel that carries with ease the heavy-duty slats
and allow for their smooth function and long life.
All of the aluminum profiles built in to the shutter are
given a precision finish, done with the best aluminum spray
paint technology.
The shutter tracks are made to be highly portable and convenient
to install in any new or existing window opening.
Roll-tec shutter has been tested by an independent testing
laboratory and has been certified for durability after being
exposed to 22,000 continuous operations.
Installation
The assembled shutter is made to be easy to install to any structural
material surrounding the window opening. The shutter can be
installed to any new or existing window. The installation doesn’t
require special tools, just minimal skill and precision.
Shutter tracks
The track is made out of the extruded aluminum in size 2.2” x
2.8”. It consists of two chambers. The inner chamber holds
the electrical system where the motors and wires are stored and
the outer chamber holds the rail system that encompasses various
slat operating components.
Operation
All of the operations of the Roll-tec shutter can be automatically
controlled. The shutter operates by two separate electric motor
systems: Rolling up and down by electrically operating the
tubular motor. Adjustment of the slats rotation by electrically
operating the low voltage DC tilt motors. Thanks to the simple
and smart mechanism, when the shutter is fully lowered down,
its slats can be rotated to the opened position, allowing for
the best lighting and ventilation of the rooms while still
assuring privacy. All of the shutter positions can be controlled
without opening the window by a wall switch.

Shutter box
The shutter box utilizes cast aluminum side frames on both sides,
a coil or extruded aluminum body, and is available in different
sizes and configurations.
